Wholesale EVA Foam Mats from China: MOQ, Pricing and Shipping Explained

Importing EVA foam mats at wholesale is straightforward once you understand how factories quote, what actually drives the price, and where first-time buyers lose money. This guide condenses what we tell every new customer before their first order.
How EVA mat pricing really works
Quotes are driven by four variables: density (the single biggest cost driver — a 150 kg/m³ tile contains roughly twice the resin of a 75 kg/m³ one), thickness, surface lamination (printed or textured films add cost), and order volume. This is why “same looking” 20 mm tiles can differ 40% in price: the visible tile may be identical while the invisible compound is not. Always compare quotes at the same measured density, and verify the density of the pre-shipment sample yourself — weigh the tile, divide by its volume.
MOQ norms
For standard catalog products, MOQs are typically one production batch per color. Custom colors, printed logos and special textures raise the minimum because they require dedicated compound or print runs. Mixed-container orders (several SKUs in one shipment) are normal and help new buyers reach viable volumes — we regularly consolidate gym tiles, tatami and pool grid mats in a single container.
FOB vs DDP: choosing your shipping terms
| Term | You pay for | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| FOB | Product + delivery to port; you arrange freight, import duties, last mile | Experienced importers with freight forwarders |
| CIF | Product + freight to your destination port | Buyers who want freight handled but customs cleared themselves |
| DDP | Everything to your door, duties included | First-time importers and Amazon sellers |
Payment and QC rhythm
The standard pattern is a deposit with the order and the balance against shipping documents after inspection. Never skip the inspection step: for new supplier relationships, book a third-party inspection (or visit the factory) when goods are 80% complete. As a BSCI-audited, ISO 9001-certified factory we support third-party inspections as standard practice.
A note on “too cheap” quotes
If a quote is dramatically below others, one of three things is usually true: lower density than specified, recycled filler sold as virgin foam, or the quote excludes packaging and palletizing. All three surface as customer complaints months later — curled edges, crumbling tabs, faded colors.
Send us your specifications, target market and volume for a transparent quote — density stated, certifications included, FOB or DDP as you prefer.
