Define the construction
Request material and layer details, thickness, dimensions and sample weight. Rubber-faced EVA combines an EVA base with a rubber surface; the foam density and Shore C hardness describe the base, not the finished surface. Ask for any additional surface specifications separately.
Review equipment and loading
List machines, point loads, movement and any dropped weights. Ask what test evidence or project assessment supports the proposed floor for these conditions. A surface finish alone cannot establish heavy-load performance or protection of the floor underneath.
Compare installation and maintenance
Review joint type, perimeter finishing, cleaning method and replacement options. Include the floor substrate and any installation materials in the comparison. Check a representative sample for appearance, seam fit and the intended movement or equipment use.
Compare quoted costs on the same basis
Match usable area, delivered quantity, packing, freight and installation scope. Separate product price from shipping, tax and ongoing maintenance. Use current project quotations rather than fixed online price ranges for products with different constructions.
