EVA Foam Mat Container Loading and Shipping Planning

Published: · Updated: · Newin Best

Plan an EVA mat shipment from the finished packing list. Tile dimensions help estimate foam volume, but cartons, pallets, surface layers and the loading arrangement determine the space and gross weight used for freight.

Calculate foam mass separately from shipping weight

Newin Best confirms EVA foam density of 70 kg/m³ and hardness Shore C 34–36. For a nominal 1 × 1 m tile at 20 mm, foam-only mass is 1 × 1 × 0.02 × 70 = 1.4 kg. This calculation excludes surface finishes, packaging and dimensional tolerances. Ask for net and gross weights measured for the approved packing configuration.

Build a carton-based loading estimate

Record the external carton length, width and height in metres, and multiply them for carton volume. For example, a hypothetical 0.62 × 0.62 × 0.22 m carton is approximately 0.0846 m³; 500 cartons occupy about 42.3 m³ before loading losses. These figures illustrate the method and are not Newin Best packing specifications. Confirm cartons per pallet, pallet heights, door clearance and the actual container offered by the carrier.

Choose the shipment term with a named place

Write the selected trade term, named port or place and Incoterms 2020 version in the quotation. Under FOB, delivery and risk transfer occur when goods are on board at the agreed shipment port. CIF includes seller-arranged freight and insurance to the named destination port, while risk transfers at shipment. DDP assigns import clearance and duties to the seller; confirm that arrangement is workable in the destination country.

Request the final loading and cost sheet

Ask for total tiles, cartons, net weight, gross weight and CBM, plus the loading plan and shipping marks. Separate ocean freight, insurance, destination handling, customs charges and inland delivery in the cost comparison. Sailing dates and transit time come from a current carrier schedule and remain subject to booking and port conditions.

Discuss Your Mat Requirements

Send the style, tile size, thickness, quantity and destination market. Ask for the selected model’s specification, sample and relevant documents.
